Growing cases of abandoned babies | Residents find baby girl in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

SOHR activists have reported that the people found a newborn girl dumped in Al-Rabidah village in northern Deir Ezzor countryside.

This comes in light of the growing phenomenon of child abandonment across Syria.

On June 28, SOHR activists reported that people had found a newborn girl near a building in Bab Hood neighbourhood in Homs.

The baby girl was brought to Al-Basil hospital in Al-Zahraa neighbourhood and placed in an incubator. The baby is now in a stable health condition.
