Because of his wife’s job | ISIS threaten imam of mosque for second time in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that ISIS sent a threat to the imam of Al-Horayjiyah mosque in Deir Ezzor countryside, following his sermon in the mosques.

Moreover, his wife works in SDF departments, where she is a co-chairwoman of Al-Rabida Civil Council, and the imam also works in a bakery store producing bread.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that International Coalition forces, backed by SDF special forces, carried out an airdrop operation in the early hours of Monday morning in Al-Zer, east of Deir Ezzor, targeting a house of a man from Deir Ezzor and his escort.

It is worth noting that the two men were accused of working with ISIS.

The coalition forces attempted to arrest them, but refused to surrender and resisted and opened fire against the International Coalition and SDF forces, thus the Coalition killed them.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, one of the dead men had been detained for nearly four months by SDF and then was released last April, while the other person accompanied by his mother was working to distribute financial guarantees to ISIS women in the area.
