Demanding release of detainees in SDF prisons | Residents protest and block roads in Al-Busayrah city in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that tens of residents from Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside Deir Ezzor have staged a demonstration on the city’s main road, protesting SDF arrest of civilians from the city, demanding the release of detainees in SDF prisons. The protestors have set fire to rubber tyres blocking the main road of Al-Busayrah city, while SDF security forces in the city have been put on high alert.

On May 11, Observatory activists reported a protest staged by residents in front of the “Local Council” in the SDF-controlled town of Al-Kasrah in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the people protest the poor living conditions, demanding dismiss of those responsible for distributing subsidised bread in the town.
