Military escalation | Turkish forces shell residential neighbourhoods in Kurdish areas in Aleppo
Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces stationed in Jalbal base have fired heavy artillery shells on residential neighbourhoods in Abin village in Shirawa district within Kurdish areas in Aleppo countryside, where over ten artillery shells and missiles hit the area, injuring a woman and partially destroying a house.
Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that seven regime soldiers were wounded by a rocket attack carried out by Turkish forces deployed in “Euphrates Shield” area over two days, targeting Syrian regime positions in Arab Hassan and Al-Arimah villages in the north-western countryside of Manbij, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
This morning, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces stationed at Jilbul base in Afrin countryside fired over 100 artillery and rocket shells, targeting the vicinity of the villages of A’qiba and Soghunakah forest, Abyan, Al-A’qamiyah, Tel A’jar and Kashta’r in shirawa district. No further details about the number of casualties or material damages were reported.
