Old ordnance | Two casualties in landmine explosion on frontlines of Idlib

A member of opposition factions was killed and four others injured, with some of them severely injured, due to the explosion of an old landmine in the vicinity of Kansafra town in southern Idlib countryside.

“Al-Fath Al-Mobin” operations rooms fired artillery shells and missiles on regime positions on the frontlines of Saraqib, Jarada, Kafr Batikh, Dadikh, Al-Dana, Babila, Hantotin, Kafr Nobl, Hazarin and Al-Malaja villages in Idlib countryside, and Al-Omkiyah in Sahl Al-Ghab in Hama countryside.

Moreover, the Liberation National Front fired artillery shells and missiles on regime positions on Saraqib frontlines in eastern Idlib countryside.

SOHR activists in “Putin-Erdogan” area monitored further Russian airstrikes, as the number of raids by Russian fighter jets on Al-Ruwaihah, Shannan, Sarjah, Bayannin and forest of Bayannin in southern Idlib coutryside has risen to ten. However, no casualties were reported.

Syrian Observatory activists in Putin-Erdogan area monitored renewed Russian aerial bombardment for the first time in nearly two months.

Russian fighter jets executed three airstrikes on areas in Bayanin forest and Al-Ruwaihah in the southern Idlib countryside. No casualties were reported.

On the other hand, Regime forces fired heavy machine guns and shelled areas in the vicinity of Ma’arat Al-Naa’san town in northern Idlib countryside.

On May 12, 2022, SOHR activists reported that Russian fighter jets had executed four airstrikes targeting the vicinity of Muntaf, Kafr Lata and Maa’rzaf villages in Idlib countryside, injuring a civilian and causing material damage.
