Old ordnance | Three casualties in landmine explosion in northern Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a child and injury of two others severely, due to the explosion of an old landmine in the agricultural lands in Baraghida village in A’zaz area in northern Aleppo countryside, while they were herding sheep.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 131 civilians, including ten women and 58 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 205 civilians, including 12 women and 109 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
