80th murder in regime-held areas in 2022 | Child found dead in rural Al-Quneitra province

SOHR sources have reported that an 11-year-old boy was found dead after being beaten with a sharp tool on the head.

He was also found undressed in the farmland in Al-Hamidiyah village in Al-Quneitra countryside.

According to the residents, the child goes out to herd sheep, and he is a heart patient.

This comes in light of the escalating crime rate across Syria.

Since early 2022, The Syrian Observatory has documented 80 murders in regime-controlled areas, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while the motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 82 people dead; they are 16 children, 14 women and 53 men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

• A young lady and three men in Damascus.

• Five children, two old men, two women and seven men in Rif Dimashq.

• Two men and two women in Tartus.

• A man and a woman in Latakia.

• Six men, a baby and three ladies in Hama.

• Two old women, a young lady, a little girl, an infant, a little boy and 17 young and adult men in Al-Suwaydaa.

• Three men and a young man in Deir Ezzor.

• Two civilians in Al-Raqqah.

• A man and a baby in Aleppo.

• Four men and four children in Daraa.

• Four men, two women and a little girl in Homs.

• A boy in Al-Quneitra.
