Military escalation | Regime forces renew shelling on three villages in Idlib within Jabal Al-Zawiyah

SOHR activists in “De-Escalation Zone” have monitored renewed ground shelling by regime forces on areas in Idlib countryside, where regime forces fired artillery shells on positions in Al-Fatera, Folaifal and Binin villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside this evening. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Earlier today SOHR sources reported that exchange of rocket fire took place on frontlines of Saraqeb in eastern Idlib and Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4) between “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” factions and regime forces. Meanwhile, several rockets hit the perimeter of a Turkish post in western Saraqeb. However, no casualties were reported.

SOHR sources reported that fierce clashes with heavy and medium machineguns erupted in the early hours of Friday between the “National Liberation Front” and regime forces following an attempt by regime forces to advance into positions on the frontline of Maarrat Al-Na’san town in north-eastern Idlib. The clashes coincided with exchange of mortar fire between the two sides, amid confirmed reports of the injury of several regime soldiers.
