Old ordnance | Two civilians killed and one injured in landmine explosion in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of two civilians and severe injury of another civilian, due to the explosion of an old landmine of war remnants, while they were working in an agricultural land near “Khirbat Al-Manasir” village in regime-held areas in southern Aleppo countryside.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 135 civilians, including ten women and 59 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 210 civilians, including 12 women and 110 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
