Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures civilian in Al-Qusayr city

Homs province: SOHR sources have reported that a man in his thirties sustained injuries in the explosion of an old landmine in Arjoun village in Al-Qusayr countryside in Homs province. The man was taken to the hospital.

 

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 139 civilians, including ten women and 61 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 214 civilians, including 12 women and 113 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
