Having left seven casualties | Uncertainty surrounds explosion targeting ceremony marking opening of new church in Al-Suqaylabiyah city

Hama province: SOHR sources have reported hearing an explosion in the regime-controlled city of Al-Suqaylabiyah, which is inhabited by Christian citizens, in west Hama countryside. The explosion coincided with a ceremony which marks the opening of Aya Sofya Church in Al-Suqaylabiyah city. It is not known yet if the explosion was caused by a rocket fired on an area near the site where the ceremony was held or by a kamikaze drone. The explosion killed a man and injured six others, amid reports of the participation of Russian soldiers in the ceremony.

On Friday, SOHR activists documented the death of a woman and a young man in rocket attacks by opposition faction on positions in Nebl Al-Khateeb village and Jurin area which are under the control of regime forces in the western countryside of Hama.
