Escalating Turkish attacks | SDF commander and member killed in three attacks in less than 24 hours in Al-Raqqah countryside

A’Booby-trapped Turkish drone hit an SDF outpost in Qazali village in Tel Abyad countryside, north of Al-Raqqah, leaving a SDF member dead, marking the third Turkish attack in less than 24 hours in areas of northern Al-Raqqah countryside, Syrian Observatory sources reported.

A few hours ago, SOHR activists reported that a Turkish Airforce drone fired a missile on a car in Ain Issa town, north of Al-Raqqah, injuring two people, one seriously, who was transferred to a hospital in Al-Raqqah.

This attack marked the second drone attack targeting SDF-held areas in the last 12 hours.

This morning, SOHR activists reported that a Turkish drone hit a SDF military vehicle in Bir Arab village in Tel Abyad countryside, north of Al-Raqqah, leaving a SDF commander dead.

Accordingly, the number of attacks carried out by Turkish drones on areas controlled by the “Autonomous Administration in northern and north-eastern Syria, AANES” since early 2022 has reached 41. These attacks left 30 people dead, including two children and nine women, and over 78 others injured. Here is a monthly distribution of attacks by Turkish drones in 2022:

• January: Three attacks left three people dead and 13 others injured.

• February: Ten attacks killed eight people, including two children and a young female fighter, and injured 21 others.

• March: Two attacks injured two people.

• April: 11 attacks left six people dead, including three women, and 19 others injured.

• May: Four attacks left three people dead, including a woman, and seven others injured.

• June: Three attacks left a combatant dead and five others injured.

• July: Eight attacks left nine people, including four women, dead and 11 others injured.
