Having eliminated his armed group | Six bodies of members of “Raji Falhout” faction found in Al-Suwaidaa city

Al-Suwaidaa province: SOHR sources have reported that six bodies were found with gunshot wounds this morning near Al-Mashnaqah roundabout in Al-Suwaidaa city. It was found out that the bodies were of members of “Raji Falhout” group which was affiliated the military intelligence service. Meanwhile, uncertainty surrounds the circumstances of the death of these members and the identity of perpetrators. It is also not known if these members were among those who had been arrested by local gunmen during the clashes in Al-Suwaidaa in the past few days or not.

 

Accordingly, the number of fatalities in the latest dramatic developments in Al-Suwaidaa has reached 23; they are as follows:

 

  • 16 members of “Raji Falhout” faction, including six were killed in unknown circumstances.

 

  • Seven local gunmen who were killed while they were attacking headquarters of “Raji Falhout” faction in Salim and Atil towns.

 

The death toll is expected to increase further, as over 40 others were injured, some seriously.

 

On Wednesday, SOHR sources reported that the death toll of the armed clashes that erupted in Al-Suwaidaa province between local militiamen led by “Sheikh Al-Karamah” and the group of “Raji Al-Falhout,” the leader of an armed group backed by Military Intelligence service, rose to 17; they were as follows:

 

  • Ten members of “Raji Al-Falhout” faction.

 

  • Seven local militiamen who attacked “Al-Falhout” headquarters in Salim and Atil towns.

 

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the gunmen from Jabal Al-Arab found large quantities of narcotics and a Captagon pill factory, after storming Al-Falhout’s headquarters and house, before they destroyed and burned them.

 

A few hours earlier, SOHR sources reported that local groups from Al-Suwaidaa province, led by Sheikh Al-Karama forces, managed to free several gunmen of those held by Raji “Al-Falhout” groups, amid intensive gunfire and a gathering of hundreds of people at Al-Mashnaqah roundabout in celebration of the elimination of “Al-Falhout” group after the killing and injuring “Al-Falhout” affiliated members and escape of others.

 

Meanwhile, the fate of the leader of the group remained unknown, as it is not known if he was arrested, killed or escaped from the area following the end of bloody clashes in the vicinity of his house.
