Amid mass exodus | Turkish forces shell positions in north-western Al-Hasakah

SOHR sources have reported rocket fire by Turkish forces stationed in Al-Dawudiyah village in the east of Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) in “Peace Spring” area, which targeted positions in the villages of Al-Assadiyah, Nuwayhat, Al-Khadrawi, Tel Harmal and Abboush in Abu Rasin countryside (Zarkan) which are controlled by Syria Democratic Forces and regime forces in north-western Al-Hasakah. The Turkish bombardment has triggered new mass exodus, where the targeted areas’ residents have escaped to safer areas. However, no casualties have been reported.

This comes as a part of the Turkish escalation on north-east Syria region, including daily ground and drone attacks on military positions and residential areas in light of ongoing threats of a potential military operation by Turkish forces in north-east Syria.

Yesterday, Observatory activists reported intensive rocket fire by Turkish forces stationed in “Peace Spring” area, targeting the villages of Al-Debs Hoshan, Khaldiyah, Sayda, Ain Issa camp and M4 international highway, north of Al-Raqqah. No further details were reported about the number of casualties and the damage caused by the attack.
