Afrin | Displaced people protest statement by Turkish minister of foreign affairs

SOHR sources have reported that displaced people from several Syrian provinces staged a demonstration in Afrin city in north-western Aleppo, protesting a statement by the Turkish minister of foreign affairs, in which he said “Ankara is ready to provide all need political support to the Syrian regime to expel SDF and Kurdish forces from north-eastern Syria.”

The protestors condemned the Turkish minister’s statement and lifted placards with slogans written on them, which read “nothing can surpass Al-Assad terrorism.”

The demonstration followed a statement by the pro-Turkey “Islamic Syrian Council,” in which it called upon imams (preachers) of the mosques of north Syria region for focus on the terrorism of Al-Assad regime, as it described, during Friday sermons, as a response to the statement by the Turkish minister.
