Old ordnance | Old grenade of war remnants explodes killing a girl and injuring her brother

Idlib province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a little girl and injuring her little brother severely, due to the explosion of an old cluster grenade of war remnants in Al-Ghasaniyah town in Idlib countryside.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 146 civilians, including ten women and 68 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 222 civilians, including 12 women and 118 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
