New murder in regime-held areas | Young man found dead with signs of torture in Homs countryside after being kidnapped week ago

Homs province: The residents in Talbiseh area in the northern countryside of Homs found the body of a civilian in his thirteenth with signs of torture after he was kidnapped a week ago by unidentified gunmen.

Since early 2022, The Syrian Observatory has documented 85 murders in regime-controlled areas, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while the motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 87 people dead; they are 16 children, 14 women and 58 men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

• A young lady and three men in Damascus.

• Five children, two old men, two women and seven men in Rif Dimashq.

• Two men and two women in Tartus.

• A man and a woman in Latakia.

• Six men, a baby and three ladies in Hama.

• Two old women, a young lady, a little girl, an infant, a little boy and 18 young and adult men in Al-Suwaydaa.

• Three men and two young men in Deir Ezzor.

• Two civilians in Al-Raqqah.

• A man and a baby in Aleppo.

• Five men and four children in Daraa.

• Sex men, two women and a little girl in Homs.

• A boy in Al-Quneitra.
