Old ordnance | Woman and five children injured by explosion of unexploded projectile in Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of five children and an elderly woman from the same family due to the explosion of an unexploded projectile in Tabb Al-Jourah neighbourhood Deir Ezzor city. The injured civilians were taken to the hospital.

 

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 148 civilians, including ten women and 68 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 228 civilians, including 13 women and 123 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
