Al-Hasakah | Turkish forces cut Al-Dirbasiyah-Amoda road by shooting and shell Tel Tamr countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish ground forces stationed in “Peace Spring” areas shelled Al-Tawila village in Tel Tamr countryside north western of Al-Hasakah, where shells hit the village and its vicinity. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

On the other hand, the road linking Al-Dribasiyah and Amoda in Al-Hasakah countryside was cut, due to the repeated shelling by Turkish border stations and shooting, where Al-Asayesh warned the residents from using the road.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces renewed their bombardment on Al-Hasakah countryside, where Turkish forces stationed near the border outposts fired several artillery shells on the perimeter of a regime military post near Amuda, as well as positions in the surrounding areas of the villages of Tel Hamdoun, Jarnal, Kharazah and Khankah in Amuda countryside in the north of Al-Hasakah province.

SOHR sources confirmed that a civilian was injured in similar attacks on Tel Ziwan in the eastern countryside of Al-Qamishli.

Turkish forces shelled several positions in Al-Hasakah countryside, where SOHR reported this morning that Turkish forces bombarded positions in Abu Rasin town (Zarkan) and its surrounding areas with rockets. Meanwhile, a Turkish drone targeted a telecommunication tower in Abu Rasin which resulted in the interruption of telecommunication service in that area.

This came after tense calm for a week. Observatory activists reported in early August that Turkish forces and their proxies fired heavy artillery shells and mortars on Al-Kozaliyah village in west Tel Tamr countryside, adjacent to the M4 international highway. However, no casualties were reported.
