ISIS offensive | Seven Iranian-backed militiamen killed and injured in Homs desert

SOHR sources have reported that ISIS members have carried out an armed attack on an Iranian-backed militia checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Sokhnah in the far Homs desert near the administrative border with Deir Ezzor.

According to SOHR sources, the attack left three non-Syrian fighters dead and four others injured.

The injured fighters have been transferred to Al-Sokhnah for treatment.

Accordingly, the death toll of Iranian-backed militiamen in attacks waged by ISIS in Homs desert since early July has risen to Four.

On July 20, SOHR activists documented the death of a member Al-Nujabaa Iraqi militias and the injury of several others, where a 4×4 vehicle was attacked by unidentified gunmen believed to be ISIS cells, in the area between Al-Kom and Al-Tabiya villages in eastern Homs countryside, where the injured members were transported to Al-Sokhna clinic.
