Rocket attack | Turkish forces bombard border area east of Derbasiyah in Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported rocket fires carried out by Turkish forces on areas in Khanki border village with Turkey, east of Darbasiyah area in Al-Hasakah province. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

This morning, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian in intensive shelling carried out by Turkish forces on areas in Tel Tamr countryside, north-west of Al-Hasakah, on Tuesday dawn when a shell rained down on the civilian’s house in Al-Salmasah village.

It is worth noting that Turkish ground bombardment continues until the moment, targting the villages of Tawila, Al-Salmasah and other villages in Tel Tamr countryside.

This comes in light of the ongoing military escalation by Turkish forces.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces stationed at border stations fired artillery shells on a regime military checkpoint in Al-Kharza village on the road between Al-Dirbasiyah and Amoda towns northern of Al-Hasakah. However, no casualties were reported.

SOHR activists also reported that Turkish ground forces stationed in “Peace Spring” areas had shelled Al-Tawila village in Tel Tamr countryside north western of Al-Hasakah, where shells hit the village and its vicinity. However, no casualties were reported.

On the other hand, the road linking Al-Dribasiyah and Amoda in Al-Hasakah countryside was cut, due to the repeated shelling by Turkish border stations and shooting, where Al-Asayesh warned the residents from using the road.
