Ongoing violations | “National Army” arrest and brutally beat civilians in Afrin and its countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that during the past few days, members of a Samarkand Brigade patrol had severely beaten a resident of Kafr Safra village in Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo and took him to its security post in the village for unknown reasons.

Al-Waqas Brigade also arrested two civilians from Hakkaja village in Sheikh Al-Hadid district of Afrin countryside for unknown reasons.

Accordingly, the number of detainees in Hakkaja village rose to eight. The charges against them remained unknown.

Meanwhile, a Military Police patrol arrested a civilian from Sheikh Al-Hadid district near Al-Qaws checkpoint in Jendires district for unknown charges.

In Kafr Zeit in Jendires district of Afrin countryside, gunmen of Al-Mawali tribe operating under the banner of Al-Hamza Division severely beat and insulted a resident and his son in the village, firing bullets in the air to intimidate them to leave their homes.

This comes as the civilian refused that a group of shepherds herding their sheep inside civilians’ homes and stables,

Military Police, instead of intervening to save the civilians’ properties, arrested the civilian and his son and transferred them to Jendires district.
