Amid ongoing widespread protests | Turkish forces fire bullets in the air, attempting to keep protestors away from Jarabulus crossing

SOHR sources have reported that Turkish soldiers stationed in the Turkish base in Al-Mastumah base in southern Idlib have fired tear gas shells, attempting to disperse demonstrators who gathered in front of the base, as some protestors climbed up the walls of the base.

 

According to SOHR sources, all military posts and positions of Turkish forces in Idlib have been put on high alert over the widespread demonstrations in differrnt areas across Idlib countryside against yesterday’ statement by the Turkish Foreign Minister.

 

In the same context, Turkish forces stationed at Jarabulus crossing on the Syria-Turkey border in the northern countryside of Aleppo fired bullets in the air, attempting to keep protestors away from the crossing.

 

Observatory sources have just reported that tens of areas controlled by Turkish forces, the “National Army” factions, Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and other factions in Syria experienced widespread demonstration today, after Friday prayer, where the protestors condemned and denounced yesterday’ statement by the Turkish Foreign Minister, in which he said, “we need to somehow come to terms with the opposition and the regime in Syria.”

 

Observatory activists monitored tens of thousands of Syrians participating in different demonstrations in nearly 30 areas which were distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Idlib: Idlib city, Al-Dana, Harem, Kafrya, Al-Mastoumah, Atma, Jisr Al-Shughour, Sarmada, Kafr Lusin, the camps of Al-Karama, Hazanu and other areas in Idlib countryside.

 

  • Aleppo: Al-Atareb, Darat Izza, Abbin Sam’an, and other areas in the western countryside of Aleppo, as well as Azaz, Suran, Kaljabrin, Mare’, Al-Ra’i, Jarabulus, Al-Bab, Jendires, Afrin, Al-Ziyadiyah, Raju, Turkeman Bareh, Ikhtarin and Bza’a in the northern, eastern, north-eastern and north-western countryside of Aleppo.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Tel Abyad and Sluk in Al-Raqqah countryside.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye).

 

The demonstrators lifted placards with slogans written on them, some of which read “no to reconciliations – The Syrian Revolution I ongoing – You are trying in vain – Revolutionaries can never be wiped out – No return before holding accountable Al-Assad and his proxy tyrannical figures.” While demonstrators in Al-Bab city in eastern Aleppo lifted placards with slogans written on them, which read “you are guarantor not trustee,” referring to the fact that Turkey’s mission in Syrian is confined to guaranteeing the ceasefire agreement and that Turkey is not a trustee of Syrian people and their fate. Moreover, demonstrators removed Turkish flags in several areas.
