Ongoing clashes | Regime forces and local gunmen trade fire in western Daraa for third consecutive day

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported exchange of medium and heavy machinegun fire between regime forces and local gunmen in plains to the south of Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa for the third consecutive day.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported renewed confrontations between regime forces and their proxy militants on one hand, and local gunmen on the other in west Daraa countryside.

Meanwhile, plains around southern Tafas witnessed exchange of medium and heavy machinegun fire between regime forces and local gunmen.

Furthermore, regime forces fired mortars on that area, but no casualties were reported.

A day earlier, SOHR activists reported ongoing clashes in the vicinity of Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa between local gunmen on the one hand and regime forces and their proxy militias on the other.

According to SOHR activists, regime forces managed to control posts south of Tafas on Al-Yadouda road.

The clashes and regime attack triggered an exodus of residents from southern Tafas and left civilians injured.

On Wednesday morning, SOHR activists reported that regime forces stationed in Al-Rai building targeted the southern plains surrounding Tafas city, in western Daraa countryside, with heavy machineguns in the early hours of Wednesday Morning.
