Five armed attacks in hours | Positions of regime forces and security services come under attack in Daraa countryside

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen have targetted regime checkpoint with machine guns in the vicinity of Al-Sahwah town in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen targeted the Tsil municipal building in the western countryside of Daraa with machine guns. Military security personnel were stationed in the building. No casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that this is the fifth attack that hit regime positions and checkpoints in Daraa countryside in a few hours.

Yesterday, SOHR reported that unidentified gunmen targeted with medium weapons a checkpoint of regime 15th division near the bridge of Sidon town in the southern countryside of Daraa. This coincided with a similar attack on the hospital checkpoint as well.

Meanwhile, local gunmen fired machine guns and RPJ shells on the Air Force Intelligence quadruple checkpoint at the Al-Misifra junction, east of Daraa, leaving no casualties.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 340, which left 289 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 140 civilians, including four women and five children.

• 124 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 14 former fighters who did not joined any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• An ex-ISIS member.

• Seven unidentified people.

• Three militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
