Alarming rate of child abandonment | Newborn baby girl found in Turkish-held areas in Aleppo countryside

The residents found a newborn baby girl, dumped outside a mosque in Susyan town in Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo, this Saturday morning.

This comes in light of the growing phenomenon of child abandonment across Syria for different reasons, and in light of the ongoing war in Syria.

On July 18, SOHR activists reported that residents found the body of a newborn baby inside a black bag dumped in Al-Zayton (Olive) lands northern of Kally town in HTS areas in northern Idlib countryside.

On March 22, SOHR activists obtained a video tape showing two people on their motorbike dumping a newborn baby in front of the gate of Al-Kabir Mosque in Al-Atarib city in western Aleppo countryside.
