Family fighting | Young man killed by his cousin east of Deir Ezzor in SDF-held areas

Deir Ezzor province: Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of a young man by his cousin in SDF-held Al-Shuhayl town in eastern Deir Ezor countryside over an old vendetta.

Meanwhile, violent clashes ensued between the dead man’s family and the murderer’s family near the carpet shop, while tension prevails in the area.

On August 10, SOHR activists reported new armed fighting among “cousins” in areas controlled by the “Autonomous Administration.”

Armed fighting erupted in Umm Madfa’ village in south-western countryside of Al-Hasakah, where firearms were used in fighting. This fighting left a man dead and another injured.

On July 25, SOHR activists documented the death of a person in quarrels with another person in Al-Hasakah, due to opening a hand grenade in Al-Talae’ neighbourhood in Al-Hasakah city, where two women and a girl were injured and transported to Al-Sha’b Hospital in the city.

On the other hand, a young man in his thirties shot his 50 years-old sister in a public street in Zanod neighbourhood in Al-Qamishly city, killing her immediately, and fled to an unknown destination.

This came in light of the numerous incidents of tribal clashes and murders in areas of the Autonomous Administration in northern and northeast of Syria.
