Daily death toll | Eight persons killed on August 15 across Syria

Further details of fatalities, documented by SOHR, can be summarised as follows:

 

  • A child under the age of eighteen was killed by the explosion of an old landmine in Arkis village in Rif Dimashq.

 

  • A man was killed in gunfire during a fight near Al-Thawrah roundabout in Latakia city.

 

  • A child was killed by the explosion of an unexploded cluster bomb in Qastoun town in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama countryside.

 

  • The head of Jabla municipality was found dead in his office, amid uncertainty surrounding the circumstances of his death.

 

  • A farmer from Jabal Al-Arab was shot dead by gunmen from Walgha town in the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, while they were attempting to hijack his car.

 

  • A young man was found dead with gunshot wounds in his house in Mahakan countryside in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

  • A member of Al-Hamza Division was killed by gunfire of unknown sources in Bulbul district in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo, near the Syria-Turkey border.

 

  • A man was found dead with gunshot wounds on the road between Al-Muzayrib and Al-Ash’ari in the western countryside of Daraa. The dead man was from Jbab town and he had split from regime army and joined to Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organisation and operated in the area of Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa.
