New protest in SDF-held areas | People block roads in protest of arresting man by SDF west of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported seeing popular protests in SDF-held Al-Husan village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor over the arrest of a man from Al-Husan village by SDF froces for unknown reasons. The protesters blocked roads in Al-Hussan village.

On August 13, SOHR activists reported seeing demonstrations in Al-Hussan, Mahimidah and Al-Jalamadah villages in SDF-held areas in western Deir Ezzor countryside, demanding the immediate release of Zaa’em Al-Jafal, an official of the Security Department of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish.”

Asayish official was arrested for unknown reasons 10 days ago by the General Security Service of the Civil Administration.

According to SOHR activists, the demonstrators set fire to rubber tyres and blocked roads in SDF-held villages.
