Old ordnance | Two children killed in eastern Aleppo’s neighbourhood

SOHR activists have documented the death of two children by the explosion of an old landmine in an abandoned building in Masaken Hanano neighbourhood in eastern Aleppo, which is under the control of the regime forces.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 156 civilians, including ten women and 74 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 237 civilians, including 15 women and 130 children, sustained various injuries in the same period.

Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
