Old ordnance | Displaced child from Homs killed in landmine explosion in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a displaced child from Al-Qusayr city in Homs countryside today affected by the injury he sustained three days ago in the explosion of an old landmine in Al-Bab city in in north-eastern Aleppo.

 

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 158 civilians, including ten women and 76 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 238 civilians, including 15 women and 131 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
