Rising tension | SDF attack Turkish armoured vehicle on Syria-Turkey border, while Turkish forces shell regime positions in rural Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of two regime soldiers due to bombardment by Turkish ground forces in the early hours of Friday morning on positions in Al-Dardarah village in Tel Tamr countryside in north-western Al-Hasakah.

Moreover, Turkish forces fired several mortars and artillery shells on Jatl village in Al-Darbasiyah countryside in AL-Hasakah province, which led to outbreak of fires in farmlands.

On the other hand, SDF border guards fired several shells on positions inside Turkey, targeting an armoured vehicle, burning it down. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that a Turkish drone attacked the sponge plant where SDF are stationed in a post nearby, nearly 45 kilometres away from the Syria-Turkey border. It is worth noting that the targeted site is located in the area hosting Istrahat Wazir base where International Coalition Forces are stationed on the road between Al-Hasakah and Tel Tamr.
