The clashes renew in areas in the eastern countryside of Homs, and the regime forces target east of Hama
Homs Province:
The regime forces shelled and opened fire this morning places in al- Hula area. A man from al- Hula area died of wounds due to shelling by the regime forces on the area earlier. They also shelled IS-held city of Palmyra with no information about victims.
Clashes took place after midnight between the regime forces and allied militiamen against IS militants in Jabal al- Shomariyya east of Homs, information reported casualties on the regime forces’ ranks. It is noting that the regime troops have not been able to advance in the east of Homs and Palmyra area since assassinating the major-general Muhsen Makhlouf, who was the leader of the 11th tank division and relative of Bashar al- Assad’s mother, by IS in July 16.
Hama Province:
The Islamist faction targeted regime positions around the village of Fraytan in the land of Salamiyya city east of Hama, information reported casualties on the regime forces’ ranks.
