Through mediation of tribe dignitaries | SDF releases ten people in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that SDF released ten people including a child from Zayban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, after they were arrested for 15 days, through mediation of tribe nobles and dignitaries.

On August 16, SOHR activists reported seeing popular protests in SDF-held Al-Husan village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor over the arrest of a man from Al-Husan village by SDF froces for unknown reasons. The protesters blocked roads in Al-Hussan village.

On August 13, SOHR activists reported seeing demonstrations in Al-Hussan, Mahimidah and Al-Jalamadah villages in SDF-held areas in western Deir Ezzor countryside, demanding the immediate release of Zaa’em Al-Jafal, an official of the Security Department of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish.”

Asayish official was arrested for unknown reasons 10 days ago by the General Security Service of the Civil Administration.

According to SOHR activists, the demonstrators set fire to rubber tyres and blocked roads in SDF-held villages.

On August 2, the residents in Deir Ezzor staged a demonstration in areas held by “SDF” for the second consecutive day to call for the release of Deir Ezzor Military Council members who were arrested a few days ago on charges of dealing with outside parties.

SOHR activists reported seeing tens of people staging a vigil to demand the release of 27 of SDF detainees in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The protesters blocked roads with burning rubber tyres, expressing anger at “SDF” practices.
