Military escalation | Missile hits vicinity of largest International Coalition military base

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a missile has hit an area in the vicinity of Al-Omar Oil field in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which holds the largest International Coalition military base in Syria. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

It is likely that the missile was fired from areas of Iran-backed militias western of Euphrates river.

On July 28, “International Coalition” forces stationed in Al-Omar Oil Field, which is the largest International Coalition military base in Syria, fired missiles towards positions, some of which are unknown, where four missiles hit areas western of Al-Ma’amel area (labs area) at Al-Zift Mountain within areas held by Iranian militias and their proxies.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the “International Coalition” forces are conducting military exercises in the area.
