Old ordnance | Two little girls killed in Rasm Al-Abd village in eastern Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a six-year-old girl and her sister, an eight-year-old child, who were displaced from Jab Al-Tinah in the eastern countryside of Aleppo due to the explosion of an old landmine in an agricultural field in Rasm Al-Abd village on August 17.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 160 civilians, including ten women and 78 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 238 civilians, including 15 women and 131 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
