Aleppo | Turkish Jandarma members beat civilian at the border line

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of the Turkish border guards “Jandarma” severely beat a young man, while he was trying to sneak into Turkish territory through smuggling from Al-Ra’ey town in north eastern Aleppo countryside, injuring him severely.

On August 14, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian and injury of three others, where they were directly shot by members of the Turkish Border Guards (Jandarma), while they were trying to sneak to Turkish territory via smuggling near the border line in Ras Al-Ain in northern Al-Hasakah countryside, aiming to immigrate to Europe.

Accordingly, the number of civilians who have been killed by Turkish Border Guards (Jandarma) in several areas near and on Syria-Turkey border since early 2022 has risen to 14, including three children, while 24 other civilians were injured including three children.
