Security crackdown | SDF raid three villages, arresting civilians including activist in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have carried out a raid campaign in the villages of Al-Hussan, Al-Geneina and Mahimida in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, arresting several people on various charges.

Meanwhile, SDF members have arrested an activist in Al-Husan village, west of Deir Ezzor, one of the organisers of peaceful demonstrations against Russian forces and Iranian-backed militias, for unknown reasons.

On August 21, the Syrian Democratic Forces imposed a siege on Ezzor neighbourhood in Al-Shanan village in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside over the injury of an SDF member in fighting that erupted between residents and SDF fighters.

In this context, the military forces carried out a campaign of arrests, arresting several young men from Al-Shanan village.

Meanwhile, the General Security Service carried out a raid campaign, arresting ten suspected drug promoters and dealers in Al-Sousah in Deir Ezzor countryside and taking them to their security posts.
