Ongoing violations in Afrin | “National Army” factions assault and arrest several residents and impose levies on others

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of a patrol of the civil police arrested, a few days ago, a civilian from Ramadana village in Sheikh Hadeed district in the north-western countryside of Aleppo for “dealing with the Autonomous Administration.” Another patrol arrested a woman from Deir Sawan village in Sharran district for unknown reasons.

 

Similarly, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” faction launched a large-scale security campaign in Qarzahal village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, arresting five civilians for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration,” with the aim of a collecting ransoms.

 

On the other hand, members of Al-Sham Corps which control Kabashin village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside have beaten a civilian from the village brutally and expelled him for his house by force with the aim of turning the house into a military headquarters.

 

In the same context, the military police in Afrin released, on August 21, a civilian from Tel Jabin village in north Aleppo countryside, in return for a ransom of 4,000 USD. The man had been arrested for “dealing with the Autonomous Administration.”
