Ongoing security chaos in “Peace Spring” area | Farmer murdered in Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye)

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists in areas under the control of “Peace Spring” operations room have reported a murder in Al-Aziziyah village in Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye), as a farmer was killed by a worker working for him for unknown reasons.

This murder comes as a part of the ongoing security chaos in areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions.

In mid-August, SOHR sources reported that a tribal infighting erupted between members of Al-Ekaydat tribe and members of Al-Sultan Murad faction, in which RPGs and heavy and medium weapons were used, in residential neighbourhoods in Ras Al-Ain city in Al-Hasakah countryside in “Peace Spring” area.

These clashes ignited panic among the residents as shells and gunfire affected their homes.

This infighting erupted over the killing of Al-Ekaydat tribesman by members of Al-Sultan Murad Division, while they were attempting to steal the tribesman’s motorcycle.
