Reacting to attack on Coalition largest base in Syria | Helicopters attack positions of Iranian-backed militias in western Euphrates

Deir Ezzor province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that International Coalition helicopters opened heavy machinegun fire on positions of Iranian-backed militias near the areas of Al-Kornish, Al-Tanmiyah Al-Rifiyah and Dawwar Al-Taybah in Al-Mayadeen city in the east of Deir Ezzor province, on the western bank of Euphrates river. However, no casualties have been reported.

Observatory activists had reported that several rockets, fired from areas where Iranian-backed militias are deployed in Deir Ezzro, on positions in the area of Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which hosts the largest base of the International Coalition in Syria. However, no casualties were reported.

A few hours earlier, SOHR sources reported that International Coalition Forces renewed their aerial attacks on the military positions of Iranian-backed militias in Deir Ezzor. A US drone struck the vicinity of the industrial zone in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. However, no casualties were reported.

It is worth noting that this was the fifth attack waged by the International Coalition since dawn yesterday when an attack targeted Ayyash warehouses, and it was the fourth attack today.
