“Open the fronts” | Demonstrations erupt in areas of Ankara-backed factions in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have monitored public demonstrations in areas of Turkish forces and their proxies in northern and eastern Aleppo countryside, under the slogan “uniting the free army”, where dozens of residents of Marae’, Al-Bab and A’zaz stages protests demanding to open the fronts, and rejecting reconciliation with the regime forces.

The demonstrators raised banners that read: “open the fronts”, “our revolution is for the free people, we are not slaves of the dollar” and “Al-Bab people are thirsty.”

On August 20, Observatory sources reported that hundreds of residents staged a demonstration in Al-Bab city in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, protesting Erdogan’s stance and statements by the Turkish Foreign Minister regarding Turkey’s proposal for a “reconciliation” with the Syrian regime.

The demonstrators lifted placards with anti-Erdogan slogans written on them, one of which read “since you announced your Red Lines, we have realised that you are impostor.”

The protestors also chanted anti-regime slogans, expressing their rejection of any “reconciliations” with the Syrian regime.
