Deir Ezzor | Former commander of “National Defence” injured by members of the same militia

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a former commander of the National Defence, which is affiliated to the regime and Iran, where he was shot during clashes with a member of the “National Defence” in Al-Mayadin city eastern of Deir Ezzor.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the commander is from Al-Mayadin city, and was assigned to form a faction affiliated to the 4th Division. He was accused of “committing dozens of violations against civilians.”

On August 13, SOHR activists reported that clashes erupted between a group of the “National Defence” and members of the Military Police in Deir Ezzor city.

On the same context, a regime officer issued an order to arrest the “National Defence” members following the clashes, where six “National Defence” members were arrested and members of the Military Police assaulted the arrested “National Defence” members. Meanwhile, the Military Police are still pursuing other “National Defence” members in the city.
