Deir Ezzor | Caution calm prevails frontlines between Coalition” and Iranian-backed militias

SOHR activists have reported that caution calm prevails in the area between the “International Coalition” and Iranian-backed militias in Deir Ezzor countryside on both banks of the Euphrates river during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah cargo vehicles have entered Al-Jafrah area in Deir Ezzor countryside.

SOHR activists also reported that the “International Coalition” sent a firm message to Iranian-backed militias through Russian forces.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that several rockets hit Hajin square near SDF command headquarters on the outskirts of Hajin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in the outbreak of fire inside those headquarters. However, no casualties were reported. The rockets were fired from areas where Iranian-backed militias are deployed in Al-Salihiyah town in west Euphrates region.

Meanwhile, rockets were fired from SDF-held areas, targeting Iranian-backed militias’ positions in Al-Mayadeen area in Deir Ezzor countryside.

On August 25, reliable sources informed SOHR that International Coalition helicopters opened heavy machinegun fire on positions of Iranian-backed militias near the areas of Al-Kornish, Al-Tanmiyah Al-Rifiyah and Dawwar Al-Taybah in Al-Mayadeen city in the east of Deir Ezzor province, on the western bank of Euphrates river. However, no casualties were reported.

Observatory activists had reported that several rockets, fired from areas where Iranian-backed militias are deployed in Deir Ezzro, on positions in the area of Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which hosts the largest base of the International Coalition in Syria. However, no casualties were reported.

Earlier, SOHR sources reported that International Coalition Forces renewed their aerial attacks on the military positions of Iranian-backed militias in Deir Ezzor. A US drone struck the vicinity of the industrial zone in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. However, no casualties were reported.
