In defying manner | Iranian militias aim missiles towards “International Coalition” bases in Deir Ezzor

SOHR activists have reported that the Afghani “Fatimyon” militias, which are affiliated to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, deployed missiles in Huwayjat Sakr area in Deir Ezzor city and aimed them towards “Koniko” Gas Field, which was targeted on August 25.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the deployed missiles is estimated at 8 metres of length.

Meanwhile, the Iranian-backed Luwaa Abo Al-Fadl Al-Abbas deployed Irani missiles between civilians’ houses near Abd Al-Monae’m Riyad school in Al-Mayadin city, and aimed them towards Al-Omar Oil Field, which was shelled on August 15 and August 20.

Yesterday, reliable SOHR sources in Al-Mayadeen area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor documented the destruction caused by an attack executed by International Coalition on Thursday on rocket launchpads affiliated to Iranian-backed militias in that area. According to SOHR sources, the missiles, which had hit positions in Al-Omar oil field, were fired from those launchpads.

Meanwhile, Iranian-backed militias redeployed two other launchpads, fearing possible attacks by Coalition Forces.

On August 25, reliable sources informed SOHR that International Coalition helicopters opened heavy machinegun fire on positions of Iranian-backed militias near the areas of Al-Kornish, Al-Tanmiyah Al-Rifiyah and Dawwar Al-Taybah in Al-Mayadeen city in the east of Deir Ezzor province, on the western bank of Euphrates river.

Observatory activists had reported that several rockets, fired from areas where Iranian-backed militias are deployed in Deir Ezzro, on positions in the area of Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which hosts the largest base of the International Coalition in Syria.
