International day of Enforced Disappearance | Unknown fate pursues “Helen Ismail” and other activists in Autonomous Administration’s prisons

The Internal Security Forces and Women’s Intelligence arrested “Helen Ismail” on the middle of June, where her fate has been unknown for three months.

In a special appeal by her parents to SOHR regarding “Helen Ismail”, who worked as the manager of employment office in Al-Raqqa before leaving her job to help her father, who has special needs, with his pharmacy, where her father demanded the authorities to release his daughter as she is the only breadwinner for the family and the only one to support his special needs.

Moreover, the Public Security in Al-Raqqa arrested the activists “Fajr Al-Khalidy”, who was a former member of the Internal Security Media, “Abd Al-Karim Al-Rahil”, who was a former media activist of the Civil Council and “Ammar Al-Zak’ab”, who is an activist of the Euphrates Legacy (Torath Al-Forat) agency, during July. The reasons behind their detention and their fates remain unknown to this day.

We at SOHR renew our call to the international community on the international day of Enforced Disappearance, to reveal the fate of the people who disappeared in the prisons of the regime, factions, military formations and all parties of the Syrian conflict.
