Second bombardment in August | Russian airstrikes hit “Putin-Erdogan” area

A Russian fighter jets have carried out two airstrikes in “Putin-Erdogan” area for the second time in August, bombarding the perimeter of Sarjah village in Jabal Al-Zawiyah and the vicinity of Al-Kounsourah, west of Idlib.

The ambulances rushed towards the targeted area near Idlib city, amid reports of casualties.

On August 23, SOHR activists reported that 14 Russian airstrikes hit the perimeter of Idlib city.

Three Russian fighter jets consecutively bombarded Idlib vicinity, which hosts training camps and former military headquarters of Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham and Islamist factions. However, no casualties were reported.

Russian fighter jets executed airstrikes on the area surrounding Idlib central prison near Arab Said town, west of Idlib city, where former HTS training camps and headquarters are located. No casualties were reported.

Over the past days, Russian warplanes flew over Idlib countryside and did not execute any airstrikes on the area.
