Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that regime forces have established a new military checkpoint in a cultivated land at Za’roura road in Jassim city in northern Daraa countryside, coinciding with the arrival of new military reinforcements to the area.

On the same context, regime forces prevented farmers from going to their farms in Al-Sira area northern of Jassim city in Daraa countryside, amid flight of a “Phantom” plane since early in the morning.

Earlier today, military groups of the regime forces deployed in the vicinity of Jassim city in Daraa countryside, and prevented farmers from going to their agriculture fields and farms and leaving the area.

This coincided with the bringing in more than 200 regime soldiers and deploying them in Al-Khirbah village and farm near Al-Khirbah, Baydaa farm, checkpoint at Abu Arab farm and checkpoints at Al-Hamraa Al-Kabiyrah farm, and checkpoint at the end of Al-Bahs road.

Moreover, regime forces also brought in two tanks and heavy weapons to Sahem checkpoint in the vicinity of Jassim in northern Daraa countryside.

According to SOHR sources, regime forces were seeking to besiege Jassim city and establish fixed military checkpoints that oversee the city and its surrounding areas.

This development came nearly 15 days after regime forces entered Tafas.
