Anti-ISIS security operation | Coalition and SDF arrest three ISIS members near Ghuwayran prison in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: The International Coalition Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by Coalition helicopters, have carried out two security operations, over two days, in Ghuwayran neighbourhood in northern Al-Hasakah, in areas controlled by the SDF.

During these security operations, SDF and Coalition arrested three ISIS members and confiscated weapons in their possession.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, SOHR activists reported seeing an intensive flight by “International Coalition” helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft over Al-Sina’a prison that houses ISIS prisoners in Al-Hasakah.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Security Forces, backed by SDF’s “Anti-Terrorism” Service, arrested a person accused of “belonging to ISIS”, after raiding his house in Al-Shahil town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside in SDF-held areas.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the detainee was a former commander of ISIS, and underwent reconciliation with the regime after the regime-controlled Boqros Tahtani town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
