Interrupting tense calm | “Al-Bab Military Council” and Turkish forces trade fire in Aleppo countryside
SOHR sources have reported violent clashes between the SDF-backed “Al-Bab Military Council Forces” on one hand, and Turkish forces and their proxy factions on the other, amid exchange of rocket and artillery fire on the frontlines of Al-Arimah village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
This comes after tense calm which has prevailed in that region since the meeting between Coalition delegation with SDF commanders on August 23.
On the other hand, SOHR sources reported seeing Russian helicopters hovering over the frontlines of the northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo in the past two days. Meanwhile, Russian forces conducted a patrol in Manbij countryside in order to monitor ceasefire.
On August 23, reliable sources informed SOHR that a high-ranking delegation of the International Coalition visited Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo where it met with SDF military commanders to discuss de-escalation and ease the tension in the area. This visit came days after Turkish fighter jets bombarded military posts in Ain Al-Arab countryside.
